Coach Bruce Owens Memorial

Honor the Legacy of Coach Bruce Owens

Several Georgetown College alumni have come together to honor the life and legacy of Coach Bruce Owens, who passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 62.

A beloved member of the Georgetown College family, Bruce devoted more than three decades to coaching and mentoring student-athletes. During his distinguished career, he helped lead the Tigers to three NAIA National Championships and was inducted into the Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2022 in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the College.

As part of the Honor the One Campaign, gifts made in tribute to Coach Owens will support both The Georgetown Fund and the refurbishment of the stadium coaches' box, which will be named
the John Bruce Owens, Jr. Coaches' Box. Your gift is a meaningful way to celebrate a coach, mentor, and friend whose impact will be felt for generations to come.

As a token of our gratitude, all donors who make a gift in tribute to Coach Owens will be recognized on commemorative signage displayed within the Coaches' Box.
